BLS Level Sensor uses Frequency-Sweep Technology, offering versatility (liquids, foams, granules), maintenance-free operation, shock resistance, and fast response (<100ms). It supports CE certification, operates at -40°C to 115°C, and is ideal for pharmaceuticals (drugs, powders), food (beer, yogurt), petrochemicals (oil, ammonia), marine (bilge monitoring), and water management.
Automatic adaptation to medium
For applications in food and beverage with changing recipes or batch production, the BLS Level Sensor offers true added value thanks to adaptive setting of the switching point. Without any parameterization effort, the sensor adapts the switching point to the medium for reliable detection. This ensures maximum flexibility and minimized set-up time.
Unaffected by adherence
Even adherence typically present in pasty media will not impair the sensor performance. In the event of any adherence, the sensor adapts the switching level without the need for any parameterization and hence will increase process safety
Optimized for cleaning processes
During cleaning processes, such as CIP cleaning, sensors frequently switch incorrectly as they cannot differentiate between the process media and the cleaning media. The BLS Level Sensor masters this challenge by ignoring cleaning media such as caustic soda solution and acids during the cleaning process.

Point Level Sensor Detection:
Regardless of the medium type, RF admittance sensors reliably and accurately detect the point level of media in tanks, containers, or pipelines. This enables early detection of pump dry-running conditions and prevents media overflow.
Foam and Separation Layer Detection:
With the interval trigger function, RF admittance sensors can detect separation layers, such as beer/foam or oil/water interfaces. By supporting two switch outputs, the sensor reliably performs media detection and accurately distinguishes different liquids. The graphical display function ensures production processes can be traced and optimized more efficiently.
Frequency-Sweep Technology:
The electrode integrated in the sensor probe forms a capacitor with the surrounding environment, with its capacitance determined by the dielectric constant of the medium. The capacitor, together with an inductor coil in the sensor circuit, creates a resonant circuit. Based on the measured resonant frequency and the adjustable switching range, the sensor triggers a switch signal.
The versatile RF admittance sensor can detect any medium—whether solid granules, liquids, or viscous substances. This intelligent level switch is considered the ultimate replacement for tuning fork technology.
